Sunday and Monday was spent at a professional photographers seminar run by the AIPP. One of the speakers, Alan Moyle of Photobat in Launceston told us about his portrait of the week project he did a while back and I thought it sounded like a great idea. So I will kick things off with a shot of fellow photographer Thomas Moore, taken during speaker Shelton Muller’s off camera lighting workshop.

Great shot. I’d love to see a set-up shot and lighting details.
What’s the idea of portrait of the week? One portrait per week? Strobe or sun?

Gday Scott
To go and shoot pictures of people, simply for practice. And yup, one per week.
Idea of POTW is just to force me to practice my craft
This shot was taken in the middle of a laneway in Salamanca Place, at lunch time, lit with 1 580exii hand held camera left.
