Last weekend I travelled all the way to Gerroa, on the south coast of New South Wales for CJ and Sal’s wedding.

Gerroa is a pretty little beach town, at the top of Seven Mile Beach.  It is just a short drive from Nowra.

The day started with preparation of the FX Holden that was being used as the bridal car.

Eventually, it was show time so we loaded the girls up into the FX, ready to leave Nowra for the drive to Black Head Point, overlooking the stunning Seven Mile Beach.

Black Head Point was such a beautiful spot for a wedding, thankfully the wind didn’t blow up too much, and we could all enjoy the lovely wedding ceremony.

After we shot the family photos, it was time to make our way down to the beach for, you guessed it, more photos.

As we were leaving the beach, we saw a police car coming. I thought it would make a great set of photos if we got the police officer to arrest CJ and Sal, so we flagged him down, and he was more than happy to oblige. We kept this a secret for the rest of the day, because we wanted to shock some people when the photos came up on the slideshow presentation at the reception.

It worked…

After this we headed to a place called Boat Harbor, which was all rock, with a boat ramp in the middle. I do not think I would feel overly comfortable about my boat being in there, however, it was a really nice spot for photos.

Congratulations on your wedding CJ and Sal, and I wish you all the best for the future. Thank you for letting me be part of your big day!

Jason and Libby’s Wedding

Yesterday Mel and I attended the wedding of some good friends, Jason and Libby. This was the first wedding I had been to in some time where I was not the photographer, so it was nice (but a strange feeling) to relax and not worry about having to take pictures all day, but, of course, I did bring my camera along and took a couple of shots. Bob and Naomi’s Wedding

Posted on 15, Feb

Well the Sydney weather really let us down when it came time to take photos after Bob and Naomi’s wedding, which was a real shame as we had lots of great shots planned. When Sydney rains, Sydney RAINS.  And it barely stopped between the end of the reception until we had to come back to Hobart.  While a bit of rain and water is great for a Trash the Dress shoot, this was far too much rain and with the locations we were visiting it would have proved quite dangerous, so we will be rescheduling the shoot for later on in the year, and it will probably be done in Hobart instead.

Here are a couple of shots taken at Bradleys Head.

Naomi looked stunning in her orange wedding dress, and we are all really looking forward to giving it a good Trashing!

Today I touched down in Sydney ready for tomorrows wedding shoot. Bob and Naomi are getting married at Georges Head Battery, an old fortification with tunnels and chambers and gunning circles. It was part of the cities early defencr system, nuch like the facilities up the Derwent River in Hobart. Very cool!

Saturday we are planning a Trash the Dress which given some of the locations around here should be sensational.

Really looking forward to this wedding, look out for photos on the blog soon!
