Mt Wellington and the hills around Hobart have all seen a decent amount of snow lately. It is very rare that we actually get snow around the populated parts of the city, and when we do, it is even rarer that it settles. Mt Wellington can get quite a good coating of snow and while it is not any good for skiing, it is a lot of fun to go up and play in.

This was the first time Lucas, our three year old, had seen the snow. He really loved it. This is is first ever snowman, who he was very very sad to have to leave behind when we left…

This is another snowman I found, he was actually pretty tall, and was standing just off the side of the road near the observation deck.

I spent a few hours yesterday afternoon with the Coles family. Antony and Lauren have just returned to Hobart after living in Queensland since just after Alexander was born.
