Federation Square

Took a trip to Melbourne on the weekend to see the Foo Fighters show. On Sunday we went to Federation Square to check out the Game On exhibition, at which photography was sadly not allowed. The Jensen Car Club had a display there too, coincidentally. I was a member and really need to renew, and MUST get that Jensen in the shed on the road again… Anyhow, Federation Square is one of the craziest pieces of architecture, and I took a couple of shots, hope you like them.

The Jensen FF was the worlds first (non offroader) 4WD car. It was also the first car in the world to have Anti Locking Brakes. They were very expensive and very thirsty cars. Here is the cockpit of a Mk1 FF.

Jensen Interceptor

As we were crossing the road to the Federation Square to go to the Game On Exhibition, I spotted the Jensen Car Club of Australia holding a display in the entrance to the centre. Here is a nice Interceptor III. I was actually a member of the club, but let my membership lapse. I should join back up. There was some very nice cars on display, with a blue Interceptor III (a similar color to my Hillman Imp GT), a silver SP, a black and a white Jensen-Healey, a silver CV8, a red Interceptor III, a blue Interceptor III Convertible, a blue FF Mk1 and a red F MK1 Vignale bodied car. Beautiful.
